Keeping Warm and Cozy in Saunas

I’ve always loved the summer; every time the season ends, I throw myself a little pity party. To me, there is nothing worse than freezing in the fall and winter. I’d much rather be warm and toasty. Last week we had to do my least favorite activity: drain and cover our pool. It was terrible, and reminded me even more that summer is gone for the next nine months. What’s a girl to do?

Well, since I married such a wonderful guy, he suggested that we shop for saunas so that we can still enjoy some warmth during the colder months. I think it also has something to do with the fact that he’s a health nut, and the benefits that come from saunas are endless. They cleanse the body of toxins while opening up the pores. Plus, they do wonders for sore muscles.

While part of me knew that he wanted to shop for saunas for his own personal enjoyment, I had no problem with it. If it meant that I got to keep warm and cozy in the colder months, then I was definitely interested. We started shopping for saunas right away.

We are both pretty Internet savvy, so we took our search online. We found so many to choose from, in fact, that we started to feel overwhelmed. We decided to pick out our top five, and then sleep on it for a day or two. Time always puts things into perspective, especially when making a big purchase.

A few days later, we decided to continue on in our quest for finding the perfect sauna. We knew we wanted something big enough to fit the both of us, and maybe even another person. We also knew that we wanted something that would fit nicely in a corner, and, of course looks were important as well. We wanted something, sleek and modern looking.

After hours of contemplation, we finally decided on the perfect one. It was an infrared sauna that sat three people. It was also a corner unit, so it would fit perfectly in our space. Plus, it was beautiful. Whoever said that saunas have to look like a big wooden box was wrong!

Now that we have finished the stressful task of shopping for saunas, we can finally enjoy it. I like to use it after a long day at work; it keeps me warm and I get to relax and put the world on hold for a minute. I could certainly get used to having a sauna in the house; in fact, it might take my cold weather blues away. Here’s to hoping!

Shelly Whitfield and her husband started shopping for saunas a couple weeks ago. They found the perfect one and had it set up in their home. They use it to escape the cold weather and the stress of everyday life.
