The Importance of Time Clocks

Time clocks are a key component of any well-run water maintenance system.  Quality filtration, heating, and circulation components are necessary, but a time clock can take your swimming pool’s performance to the next level.  Connecting a time clock to the filtration system ensures water circulates at the ideal times of day and for the proper length of time.  For example, if you like a warm pool you can set the pump and filter to run during the hottest part of the day.  Time clocks also act like a form of preventative maintenance by ensuring the forgetfulness that often comes with manual operation doesn’t happen.  This prevents algae formation or decreased water clarity.  Twist timers can also be used for a variety of swimming pool related tasks: turning decorative lights on and off at appropriate times, or doing the same with an automatic pool cleaner.

Time clocks are versatile devices, and regardless of the type of swimming pool you have—above ground or in ground—they are a must or any pool owner.  If your swimming pool system doesn’t have one, or you need more, PcPools’ weekly Super Sale is here just in time.  From now until June 13th at 11:59 pm CST, you can get an additional 25% off the Twist & Lock Time Clock.  Check out our Twitter feed or Facebook page for the promotional code to enter at checkout, and “Like” or “Follow” us for weekly Super Sale offers and more.

It’s important to clean away debris from the pool every day. Cleaning the pool with a skimmer every morning or evening will keep debris from getting built up in your filtration system, causing it to break down.
